Prepping VMs for Windows 11
Purpose: to assist in the upgrade from Windows 10 VMs to Windows 11 VMs.
1. Right-click on the virtual machine you want to update to Windows 11 and select "Settings" a new window should appear.

2. Click "Options" then navigate to "Advanced" there you should see the bios settings. You should try to match the settings below.

Caution: If the settings are in bios like with a lot of older vms this could cause thed vms not to boot and will require additional configuration. if its set to bios it could be faster to just remake the vm.

3. Click on "Access Control" you will need to select "Encrypt."

4. After you select encrypt you will need to type in a password along with select the settings you wish to use.

5. The final step is to add the tpm chip this will allow you to initiate the update. Go back to the "Hardware" section on the top navigation bar.

6. Click "Add" then select "Trusted Platform Module" and then click "Finish"
